Coal Bed Methane Co-produced Water Treatment
Research conducted by CERI aims to increase clean burning coal bed methane (CBM) production in the Rocky Mountain region by turning co-produced water from a production-limiting liability to a valuable resource for drinking and irrigation. A variety of innovative treatments, volume reduction, and storage techniques are being developed. Research into CO2 sequestration in CBM fields represents a powerful tool in the battle against global warming while also enhancing natural gas production. CBM resources could be extended by biogenic regeneration if the appropriate research is conducted. |
