ENERGY EDUCATION AND OUTREACH

“To inform the public, legislative and regulatory bodies, and working professionals about new technologies and their relationship to traditional sources of energy to promote the public’s understanding of how its everyday energy needs are met.”

The Colorado Legislature directed the Colorado Energy Research Institute (CERI) to conduct education and outreach activities. In response, CERI has supported a number of relevant programs that develop and present educational material about energy and the energy industry. These programs have supported development of curriculum materials for primary and secondary schools, sponsored a field introduction to the energy industry for Federal and state executive and legislative branch staff, and hosted or joined energy fairs, career fairs, and symposia around Colorado.
